The Network Administrator (Level II) is an important member of the networking team.

At Delta-T Group, the network administrator II is responsible for maintaining the networks and systems that keep our organization running. From maintaining ironclad security to supervising network updates and training users, the administrator is not only IT support but also the thread that connects all operations. Deep technological expertise with a wide range of computer systems, hardware, and software is essential for the network administrator II to excel in this role and help drive our organization forward.

Objectives of This Role
Assist in network design, implementation, and maintenance
Provide network support across organizational operating systems
Maintain stable and consistent connectivity across all network computers
Prepare, implement, and monitor disaster procedures and recovery
Maintain stable and consistent application, server, file, and database backup integrity and continuity

Responsibilities
* Maintain network servers and associated hardware, software, services, and settings
* Recommend, test, and implement system and security upgrades
* Consistently monitor and troubleshoot network stability and performance
* Create, adjust, and maintain network user settings and permissions
* Write technical support documentation for network systems and applications
* Research and address viruses and limit impact by establishing and implementing plan to limit damage and reinstall infected applications or operating systems
* Provide help desk services in a prompt, efficient, and courteous manner to continue personnel productivity.
* Monitor Helpdesk tracking system for incoming requests consistently. Resolve and manage these requests ensuring quality customer support while keeping up-to-date records in the tracking system.
* Evaluate computer/network connections with ISP providers and Internet and/or Wi-Fi to ensure timely, cost effective, and consistent connectivity for users and our sites.
* Complete projects or troubleshoot problems daily and as required to maintain employee access to critical company applications including performing maintenance in evenings and weekends when necessary.
* Participate in an on-call rotation schedule for system or user emergencies:
* Carry a cell phone and respond to in a timely manner when scheduled as primary contact

Required Skills and Qualifications
* Four or more years of experience in a network administration role in a production environment
* Comprehensive knowledge of networking concepts and computing infrastructures
* Proven skills in network engineering, operations, and performance analysis
* Experience with leading server management and monitoring tools
* Strong communication skills for training and assisting users
* Experience with Cisco switches and routers

Preferred Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in computer science or related field
Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2012 and forward
Professional certification, such as CISSP, CCNA, or CCNP

Additional Requirements:
* Ability to schedule for evening or weekend work occasionally
* Valid driver's license in your state of residence and reliable personal vehicle
* Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
* Perform all administrative functions expected at this level
