We are a small, high-quality concierge medical practice in Upper Northwest DC seeking an experienced Medical Assistant and Front Desk Coordinator to join our team.

Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Efficient multitasker, able to handle multiple phone lines and tasks smoothly.
Phlebotomy skills are required.

Greet and check patients in and out using EHR "visit status" colors
Enter, scan, and update patient demographics and insurance information in the EHR
Collect and process patient copayments and payments in EclinicalWorks (eCW), specifying payment type and amount
Answer multiple phone lines pleasantly and efficiently, addressing patient needs and requests
Schedule appointments for new and existing patients
Retrieve and open daily mail; scan medical documents into the EHR
Review electronic messages, resolve or assign to appropriate team members
Check and respond to voicemail messages (morning, after lunch, before leaving)
Review incoming faxes, attach documents to patient charts, and assign as needed
Confirm successful delivery of outgoing faxes; resend any failed transmissions
Fax forms, lab reports, radiology reports, etc., to other facilities or physician offices
Ensure patients receive prescriptions, radiology orders, specialist referrals, visit summaries, and follow-up appointments at check-out
Replenish front office forms (e.g., registration forms, specialist lists)
Complete prior authorizations for medications and radiology services
Process patient referrals to specialists as needed
Manage and fulfill medical records requests in compliance with HIPAA standards
Take and record patient vital signs in EclinicalWorks (eCW)
Draw blood and process lab specimens for collection
Perform EKGs
Administer patient injections and vaccines
Take inventory of medical supplies (e.g., injections, phlebotomy materials, EKG tabs, patient drapes, bed covers)
Keep patient exam rooms fully stocked and organized
Monitor and stock laboratory supplies
Conduct pulmonary function test
