Transdev in Oakland, CA is hiring a Dispatcher. Our Dispatchers are responsible for overseeing daily service performance, ensuring the seamless execution of missions requested by our client. This role focuses on team collaboration, operational efficiency, and delivering high-quality results. As a Dispatcher, you will not only help drive operational excellence but also contribute to meaningful advancements in transportation that impact our community. We are seeking customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety. Key Responsibilities: + Oversee road service assigned carriers by tracking trip performance measures, route start times, performance, incidents, accidents, etc. + Provide customer support by responding to questions and concerns regarding customer trips including, "Where's my Ride?" calls, no-shows, cancellations and missed trips. + Manage emergency situations for vehicle operators; act as a liaison between the carrier and emergency services. + Maintain a high level of confidentiality in handling sensitive operational matters. + Maintain a strong focus on data-driven decision-making to improve processes and service delivery. + Other duties as required. Qualifications: + High school diploma or GED equivalent + Minimum of 2-3 years of dispatching. + Excellent communication & interpersonal skills. + Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason. Physical Requirements: + Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed. + The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen. + Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.
