Job Description

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of commercial and residential construction and remodeling practices and a comprehensive understanding of procedures, techniques, tools, equipment, materials, specifications, quality and cost control measures, and safety requirements associated with a commercial building. You will perform job preparation, demolition, framing, finish trim, cabinet installation, and all punch work.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  • Installation of doors and set door hardware.
  • Installation of windows and set hardware.
  • Layout for stairs and common rafters.
  • Read blueprints, utilize appropriate math skills, and perform layout.
  • Communication with subcontractors and owners.
  • Framing walls, roofs, and floors in wood.
  • Effectively communicate and understand both verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to organize, sequence, and perform assigned tasks within schedule.
  • Trim carpentry.
  • Drywall Installation and finishing.
  • Install ceramic tile.
  • Light plumbing.


Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in all phases of commercial construction.
  • Candidates must have a truck or van with hand tools for transportation.
  • Be willing to work within a 50-mile radius.
  • Be able to work in a variety of seasonal and weather conditions.
